Nusa Penida is an island southeast of Indonesia's island, Bali and a district of Klungkung Regency that includes the neighbouring small island of Nusa Penida. The Badung Strait separates the island and Bali.

How to get there?

Nusa Penida is part of Bali, Indonesia. so, first you have to flight to Ngurah Rai Airport. If you already in Bali, you can go to Sanur Beach. It's far away from the airport, you can go there by online transportation or if you hire a local guide, you can ask them.

What's next?

You have to across the sea by speedboat and you should pay 100.000 rupiah for one trip.

One hour left, you'll arrived at Nusa Penida Island. yey!

If you didn't hire a local guide, you should ask local people.

example, if you stay in Bali and only have one day trip to Nusa Penida you should rent a motorbike or car to travel around and go back to Sanur beach by speedboat (again)

IDR 50,000 to 80,000 rupiah to rent a motorbike per a day, but you need to spend IDR 400.000 to 600.000 rupiah for a car and the driver.

if you want to stay and experiencing how epic Nusa Penida is, you should pay for your room too. It's 450.000 rupiah for 4 guest.

You can ask me for the information, hmm if you want.

I suggest you to stay 'cause... ya you will see..

Okay..

Let's talk about the beaches

Nusa Penida has so many beaches, but here Top 5 Beaches in Nusa Penida, Bali, Indonesia

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” - Agustine of Hippo

1. Crystal Bay

Although Bali is one of the world’s most underrated destinations for divers, it has some exceptionally beautiful diving sites. Crystal Bay Nusa Penida is an attractive site in this respect. Bali has a surprisingly rich underwater life, which is mainly due to the fact that it is located between two great oceans, the Indian ocean and the Pacific.

Crystal Bay has relatively calm diving conditions. The water is crystal clear thus excellent for snorkelling. It also has a beautiful sunset view.

Crystal Bay is located in southwest Nusa Penida

2. Atuh Beach

Atuh Beach or Pantai Atuh as it’s known in Bahasa, is one of the most epic beaches in Bali. It's totally different from Crystal Bay. Atuh beach has a rough drive and a short hike down to the beach but.. ohh isn’t this incredible little bay!

There is no parking fee on this side, while there is a 10,000 rupiah fee on the other side (on the entire)

As you see from the entire, you need to walk down. but it's not only walk down, it's hike down the beach!

You'll spend 15 minutes to be there, but is quite step, which you will realize on the way back up.

Like many spots on Nusa Penida, the roads to Atuh Beach are unforgiving. We need a rest in the middle, but yes! we got it!

15 minutes later..

HERE WE COME

It's 1 pm on the beach.

We've walk so far away, it's time for lunch but there was no food or snacks there.

So.. make sure that you bring your own, or if you don't, make sure that you already take your lunch.

Atuh Beach is the type of place that takes your breath away at first glance. From the top of the stairs, the view is already pretty insane. We really enjoy when the high to low tide there.

The most thing that I love from Atuh Beach is there a lot of spot that we can take a picture!

3. Angel's Billabong

Angel’s Billabong is one of the magical spots you can’t help. A crystal clear tide pool cascades into the ocean on the east coast of Nusa Penida.

Parking at Angel's Billabong is only IDR 5,000 rupiah. From this parking lot, you can walk to Angel’s Billabong by following the signs. The signs will then lead you to Broken Beach, which is another popular tourist attraction nearby.

There were several visitors just hanging out on the sides. Walking on the sharp rocks barefoot was pretty painful, and it took some careful maneuvering to lower myself into the pool. Bringing sandals or water shoes would definitely help!

We expected the bottom of the pool to be slimy, but the seaweed was actually pretty comfortable and made the bottom feel like soft carpet! The water was also so much clearer than I thought it would be.

The crystal clear water allows you to see the patterns and textures beneath the surface. In some areas, the water is deep enough for a little dip!

There also a lot of fish that you can touch them.

Oh... man! You can feel the wind blow that takes your breath away. The waves were insane! I really want spend more time here but we've to come back to Bali as soon as possible.

4. Broken Beach

Broken Beach or Pasih Uug as it’s known in Bahasa is a scenic coastal formation on the southwestern edge of Nusa Penida island. It located near Angel's Billabong that you just follow the step by the sign

There a lot of vendor if you want to be close and snorkling on the clearly water.

Broken Beach is a great spot for travel photographers and panoramic view seekers

We're not take a lot of photos bcs we have to go back to Bali as soon as possible.

5. Kelingking Beach

Enjoying the scenic seascape and taking photos and selfies from above would be sufficient for most. You can enjoy the sweeping views from a purpose-built platform, which is bordered by bamboo fences. If you dare the challenging track down to the beach, make sure it’s during low tide. It's a bit of rock climbing.

We decided to not hike down the beach, it will spend 45 minutes to one hour to hike down and one to 1,5 hours to hike up. It will drain your energy.

If you want to face the beach, please prepare your self well.

I swear it will be your unforgettable moment!

If I had a chance, I will hike down and feel the sensation of rock climbing.

And yes! This is Top 5 Beaches in Nusa Penida, Bali versi me.

psstt.. all the pictures are mine and I never use any effects.

so you can imagine how epic the beaches are!
